These two notable personalities; Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Bill Gates have come a long way to achieve success. Along the way, development factors play a central role in their success. Nurture defines as the environmental experiences of an organism (Santrock, 2012). Positive and stimulating environments, such as family and peers, had an impact on their linguistic and cognitive development. Language development facilitates teaching and learning and is closely linked to reading and writing skills (Berk, 2001 in Haliza, Joy & Rafidah, 2008). Cognitive development focuses on the development of the child's mind in its ability to think, give opinions, understand and remember events that occur in their environment (Haliza et al., 2008) . This essay will discuss the education factors of Bill Gates and Tun Dr Mahathir that develop their language and cognitive skills.2.0 Education factors that contribute to the cognitive and language development of Bill Gates “A computer on every desk and in every home » The motto above is a dream that Bill Gates engraved in his mind when he and Paul Allen started Microsoft. There are surely factors that make his big dream come true. Parental and educational background are the upbringing factors that played an important role in achieving his big dream. 2.1 ParenthoodParenthood is the most important educational factor that determines the success of Bill Gates. Bill Gates Jr. and Mary Maxwell were determined to find out about their son, Bill Gates' great enemy that had affected his life and found ways to fight him.
