In Texas, when you get your license, you have the opportunity to verify whether or not you want to be an organ donor. If you choose not to and die, a doctor cannot go into your body and harvest your organs for someone who is alive and needs a heart. A corpse, which most people believe to be just a dead bone. The person who is not there has no more rights than a woman in Texas. Even if their organs were usable and healthy, they could not be passed to a living person who must be saved without their consent.
