    The endless war on drugs has ruined the mindset of today's society. Every year, new drug laws are enforced by the government. Millions of taxpayer dollars are spent each year on these issues. Prisons are overcrowded with people accused of drug possession. This controversial topic raises the real question: have these laws accomplished anything? One of the main anti-legalization arguments is the morality of drug legalization. They argue that the government should help people and make their lives easier. They say the government should protect the population from the harms of drug addiction. The premises of this argument are questionable. Restricting drugs completely will not solve the drug addiction problem; it will only make things worse. Addicts will do whatever it takes to get this drug into their system whether the government makes it legal or illegal. Alcohol is a substance that can be obtained legally in today's society.
