Have you ever been humiliated, teased, bullied or made fun of because of your weight or simply because of your appearance by your friends? In the story “Hunters in the Snow,” the author uses one of the characters named Tub to demonstrate these qualities. The author wanted you to be able to put yourself in Tub's shoes. Being bullied and teased is something almost everyone has experienced. Tub was embarrassed, bullied, and had unhealthy relationships with his friends. Tub was embarrassed by his friends throughout the story "Hunters in the Snow". It was as if they never gave him a break. At the beginning of the story, Tub had been waiting for Kenney and Frank for over an hour and when they arrived, they tried to scare him.
