Essay / The sensorimotor stage of Jean Piaget's cognitive process...
The way we react to the environment depends on the genes we have. It is often a mixture of high-risk genes and a high-risk environment that causes mental difficulties. Gene-environment association is the means by which an individual's genes and their environment are methodically interconnected. There are three types of gene-environment associations. The first of the three is consenting association, in which a child is a willing recipient of an environment that matches his or her genotype. The second association is evocative association, in which a child disrupts environments due to genetic impacts. The third association is active association, in which a child seeks out environments due to genetic impacts. Next, I would like to discuss genetic effects on the environment. Behavioral geneticists are discovering that environmental measures are both genetic and heritable. Additionally, genes impact how fathers and mothers, peers, and others care for children. Finally, environmental impacts then support the growth and maturity of the person. Heritability can be defined as the statistical expression that specifies what fraction of the difference within a particular trait within a certain population is heritable. The environment can influence the manifestation of congenital diseases
