Life is something much more complex than anyone can imagine. No matter who the person is or how old they are, everyone faces various obstacles and challenges that make life difficult. Some people face physical limitations, such as the inability to pick up something or climb stairs, while others may face mental limitations, such as the inability to understand what is happening. Two of the most difficult times in an individual's life occur during the teenage years and late adulthood. These times in a person's life can be overwhelming and stressful, as a person tries their best to grasp the changes happening before their eyes. Adolescence is often a time when drastic changes occur in an individual's life as they discover they are no longer a child. , but not yet mature enough to become an adult. One of the major problems that teenagers face is peer pressure. Many teenagers may dress a certain way or listen to certain types of music simply because they think it will help them be accepted. In fact, teenagers feel like they have an imaginary audience and need to be at their best at all times so that their popularity is not affected. In addition, adolescents are confronted with the conflict between identity and role confusion developed by Erikson. They must not only develop a sense of who they are, but also their place in their culture. Additionally, adolescents often begin to become involved in romantic relationships and eventually sexual activities. Adolescents need to consider whether they prefer to date people of the same sex and/or the opposite sex and also need to understand whether or not they should have sex given the teachings they were given as children. In Rebel Without a Cause, we see how the main characters struggle to find who they are and what they are going to do with the rest of their lives. On the other hand, in Driving Miss Daisy we see how Miss Daisy struggles to accept the changes in her life and the fact that her life is coming to an end. No matter how young or old you are, there are always challenges that will keep you from knowing where you want your life to be. However, it is up to the individual to accept the challenges in their life and make them work to their advantage..
