    Child poverty is a huge problem today. More than 3.5 million children in the UK alone live in poverty, with 1.6 million living in extreme poverty. Poverty is the state of being extremely poor. Children are people between birth and full growth. And when you put the two together you get child poverty. Child poverty is a growing problem we face. More and more children are falling into poverty for many different reasons. Children generally live in poverty due to low income and high unemployment rates. The state in which these children live affects their health, education and social life. In some countries there is a lack of employment, which is a very common scenario for the causes of poverty. Parents cannot find work and therefore cannot provide for their family. With adults unable to find a job and earning no income, children are uneducated and have no money; they are therefore reduced to living a life of poverty. A single parent is another common way for people to fall into poverty. If a single parent has children and does not have a well-paying job, they will struggle to provide for their children. This could cause parents to be overworked trying to provide for the family, they could also have poor mental and physical health, and it could also affect the children mentally and physically. Many different factors cause poverty, leading families with young children to live in poverty. This is a current problem that is growing. People may not pay much attention to these children, but they are the future and they need help.
