  • Essay / The importance of good Christmas memories

I can't wait to see bright and varied gifts wrapped in red and green. I enjoy the sweet but spicy scent of pine. Most of all, I can't help but imitate the bright smiles of happy children on Christmas morning. For me, the magic I see at Christmas is similar to the magic I see in everyday life. The Christmas period is by far the most memorable time of year; because it allows me to realize the beauty in everyone around me. Say no to plagiarism. This particular mental image came from a family vacation in Nova Scotia, Canada. I went there with my grandparents and my father. Back then, I thought Christmas was about Santa, reindeer and presents. Throughout the year, the only things I thought about were toys, gifts, and games. As I grew up, I started to ask myself, “Why do I love Christmas so much?” » My love for Christmas comes from my grandmother. She comes from a laid-back family that never decorated much for Christmas. Today, she has about thirty-five boxes full of Christmas decorations. Its Christmas tree is twelve feet tall, but its ceilings are only ten feet high. I believe she embraces everything she missed as a child, and she has truly inspired me to love Christmas as much as she does. As I grew up, I feel like I developed a different perspective on Christmas because of her. Christmas today is contrary to what I thought before. I realize that the holiday season is more about spreading joy and love to the people around you. When I first realized this in my early teens, I applied this knowledge to every day of the year. I know many people are still hoping for a fairy tale. Yes, I admit that maybe it's not Santa or reindeer they're looking for, but other things, like money, recognition or fame. I really feel sad for people who are so involved in other matters that they don't find time to rejoice during the holidays. This would truly teach them the true meaning of life, which they have not yet found. Keep in mind: this is just a sample. Get a personalized article from our expert writers now. I have become a more caring and understanding person each year as I have gotten older. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the fairy tale dream I had as a child, but then I realize the person I have become because I allowed myself to see the world from a different perspective. Without my Christmas memories, I don't think I would be the same person I am today. Works CitedBrown, SD (2014).
