We probably know that discrimination happens in any situation, and it depends on individual or societal reasons. Today we know that racial discrimination is illegal, but it still exists among some people and is skillfully hidden in one form or another. For example, in the essay “Black Man Ponders His Power to Alter Public” by Brent Staples, the author is a black man, he explains in certain encounters that he was the victim of skin color discrimination on the part of his surroundings. Discrimination can occur in any situation and anywhere. I love America, because this country included many different races; It makes me think of the beautiful colorful flowers of the meadows. I thought discrimination was over; however, due to racial differences, discrimination still developed within some people. Therefore, I had gained some experience with skin color discrimination from others since my arrival on this American land. I believe that discrimination based on skin color makes me feel isolated, unequal and humiliated. Discrimination is a terrible thing; if this happens to you, you will understand how it feels. I'm an Asian with yellow skin very different from Staples skin color, but I still experienced discrimination from some people around me. I remember the first year I lived in America, I was in middle school, eighth grade; I never forget the day I got on a school bus, everyone: Black, white, Asian, they put their backpacks on empty seats, because they didn't want me to sit with them. I went through all the seats and looked around; I was lucky, I only had one back seat left in a corner, but as I walked over to sit down, a young white girl said, "That seat is taken." They all laughed really hard middle of paper... intending to hurt them. Staples was judged badly by the white woman, she made him look bad because he is black. Outsiders will not understand all the feelings of a person who has been discriminated against by someone, misjudgments and false information ruin the honor of the victim of discrimination. In a society discrimination is bad, we should try to end it. NOW; furthermore, discrimination puts people at a distance when they are near each other. We must develop this society which lives through unity; Moreover, I believe that only unity is a super power to improve our life without discrimination of race, gender or religion, because “united we stand, divided we fall”. Everyone has an equal right in life; we should refuse discrimination in society; if we experience changes, then everything will become a miracle and bring happiness to everyone.
