IntroductionThe United States of America has come a long way to achieve the status it has today in the world in terms of military power. One of the major milestones of this journey was the creation of the first special service, otherwise called the Devil's Brigade or the Black Devils Brigade. The special unit of the American forces was created during World War II. Initially, the plan was to partner Canada and Norway in creating a special elite force that would assist in war activities. However, Norwegian forces withdrew, leading to collaboration between American and Canadian forces. The conception of the idea of creating a special elite unit in the army and its subsequent implementation took place between March and July 1942. This period was characterized by extensive research by a British scientist and extensive analysis carried out by American commanders. The special unit began training in Montana at Fort William Henry Harrison before moving to other areas such as Camp Bradford and Fort Ethan Allen in Vermont.
