As a black man living in a black community with nothing but a black family, having attended an all-white Catholic college preparatory high school, I have experienced this racism. I'm not the only person to have encountered this problem. My family, my friends, my girlfriend, maybe you too have experienced this pain in your life. It’s this simple element that also makes it a local problem. In this article I will discuss the effect racism has had on the community and the world, the history of racism, and ways to enter a post-racial world.
