Essay / Night of Elie Wiesel - 845
Night of Elie WieselNight is the story of a boy named Elie Wiesel and his family sent to a concentration camp because they are Jewish. The family was warned several times by people who had seen it with their own eyes but did not believe it. One day they learned that the Gestapo was arriving in the Jewish quarter. When people arrived, they were divided into two ghettos, one small and one large. The Wiesel family was placed in the largest ghetto. They stayed there for a while until the Gestapo came and put the people in these wagons. They could not take anything with them. The Gestapo put at least 70 people on a trolley. There was a woman on the cart and she kept having flashes of things she saw were going to happen. She shouted things like, “Fire, go!” » She did it several times and didn't want to stop. Every time she did this, someone ended up hitting her in the face. When they finally arrived at the camp, the people saw smoke and fire. Everyone turned and looked at her as she sat down and remained silent. When everyone had gotten off the carts, the Gestapo divided the people into two groups, men and women. This is the last time Elie Wiesel saw his mother and sister Tzipora..
