  • Essay / Creative Writing: Emily's Story - 1132

It started out like a normal Monday morning; Emily crawled out of bed so as not to wake her mother. She grabbed the tied up clothes she had worn the day before and started to get dressed. Every movement she made seemed to echo off the ground with the creaking of the wood. She walked into the kitchen like she was walking on burning ashes to make her mother's coffee while trying to avoid the usual knocks. She was awakened by a bag suddenly placed around her head. She struggled to get the bag out but the man fought against her. Emily saw her life flash before her eyes as she took her last breath. She felt some relief when she realized that this was the end of her life. Emily then died with a smile on her face and without further suffering. The man knowing what he had done wrapped Emily's body in a smooth black bag. He planned to take her body to the river on a remote road and dump it inside. The man began moving Emily's body into the trunk of his black mustang. As he put her in the car, he heard sirens in the distance. The man's adrenaline began to course through his body.
