Friday, December 6, 2013 - Mathematics FractionsOn the first day of my revision, I decided to start with fractions. A fraction is a numerical quantity that is not a whole number (e.g. 12, 0.5). The information I gathered to revise fractions came from my notes I took in class, using the BBC website, also answering questions from the GCSE maths book. Being at university on Friday, I didn't have much time during the day to study math, but once I got home and had dinner, I decided to start studying. Around 9:00 p.m., I gathered all my review information and decided that for the first 10 minutes, I would watch a few YouTube videos from math teachers to understand better. After those 10 minutes, I decided that for the next 20 minutes, I would reflect on my notes that I had taken in class, and then I started creating some of my own questions to test my abilities. During the last 10 minutes of my revision, I decided to start a test on the lowest level of BBC bite-sized fractions, then gradually increase to higher levels. The test result was better than I thought; I was impressed by the result and understood better. I also decided to take notes for each topic throughout my 10 days of revision, this was in addition to knowing my weaknesses and if I didn't understand I would ask my teacher for help. Fractions are not my weak point in mathematics as I have a rough understanding of them.Saturday December 7, 2013 - Math FactorsOn Saturday I usually work from morning to evening, but on this day I decided to take a day time off to spend time with my family and prepare. my math exam. As my schedule shows, it was an incredibly busy day, spending time with my child and being able to visit family. However, in the evening I decided to...... in the middle of the article...... with online revision and a 10-minute online test, the results were improved, which means I have improved. This was very helpful because it reminded me how simple it was by just having a quick recap on the topic. This was very useful to me, especially since these are my greatest difficulties in mathematics. Monday December 16, 2013 Maths Ratio o -On the day of my exam, I recap my memories about ratios, just before my exams, I tests me with my classmates for 20 minutes. and then I decide to take some notes just to have a final overview of what I was summarizing. The last 20 minutes before the exam, I was testing myself. I thought this was a very superior idea as I was very unsure of the ratios. Having to have one last memory brought back all my memories of what I had studied about ratios. I feel positive if any ratios appeared during my exam. I'm sure I'll get it right..
