I would consider my opportunities to be able to work with other leadership and strategic planning styles. The lord has given me the ability to have a tremendous amount of tolerance. Which is helpful to me when it comes to working with other people and their leadership style. There are, however, cases where tolerance is empty, mainly because of the leadership style used or the effect it has on others. Many people lack the ability to hold back and are unwilling to hear others out on an idea, but not me. I would consider this a major opportunity when it comes to group formation and friendships that can happen throughout college and at work. My other opportunity is strategic planning, and this is also another great opportunity to have. Introduction to Leadership: Concepts and Practices is a book written by Northouse, in which he discusses the keys to strategic planning. A strategic planner must be able to think through and consider ideas to develop effective strategies and be able to learn, adapt, and demonstrate managerial wisdom (Northouse). This can be applied right now to college; I am currently strategically planning to get through these final days of summer bridge and prepare for the ups and downs of my first semester of college.
