I went to church every Wednesday and Sunday growing up, and I didn't know anything different. I loved having a community/culture that will never go away. It taught me to always put people first, then worry about myself. The morals and beliefs I grew up with are things I am truly grateful for. I like to say yes, I grew up in church and my parents didn't force me to go. I really like my faith, because we live in a rural society, where everyone needs to believe in something. I rely on my faith for everything and without it, there would be no sense in following the morality of right and wrong. Going back to the small-town American syndrome, everyone went to church and everyone knew where everyone else went. If you didn't go to church somewhere, everyone knew it. Even though in the United States we are not persecuted for going to church, it is quite the opposite. If you don't go to church, you are judged. Parents always ask, “Does so-and-so go to church, otherwise I don’t think you two should go out together.” This experience made me think in a way about how people reacted to the things they did in our
