Essay / a view through the eyes of Victor Hugo - 699
Join me on a quest to fall into the abyss of Victor Hugo's mind. Let's start our journey with the basics. Victor-Marie Hugo, was born on February 26, 1802 in Besançon, France, to Joseph-Léopold-Sigisbert Hugo and Sophie Trebuche Hugo. His father was a military officer who later served as a general under none other than the all-known and powerful Napoleon. Hugo was by no means a lonely child, spoiled by his parents and given everything he could have dreamed of in his life, given that there were two other children who had graced the earth before Victor's presence. not be felt or considered elsewhere. Shortly after Hugo's presence was actually felt, tension and anger began between his parents and soon they separated and went their separate ways. Being raised and switching between two homes, his father and his mother, was very confusing and painful for him. During Hugo's later teenage years, with very little money at his disposal, he began his studies at the Pension Cordier and the Lycée Louis-le-Grande studying law, he later ended up graduating from the Paris Law Faculty. This time later influenced his writing of the magnificent Les Misérables. A year after the death of his mother in 1821, Hugo published his first collection of poems entitled Odes and various poems. Many parts of these poems earned him a pension from the great and powerful Louis XVIII. Less than ten years after its first publication, he published seven other books and poems, including but not limited to: Han of Iceland, Hans of Iceland, Muse Française, Nouvelles Odes, Bug-Jargal, Odes et Ballades and The Orientals. .In the adventures of the Hunchback of Notre Dame, we live in the era of none other than the medium...... middle of paper ......objects like those that refer to things like these- here. For example, in my opinion, his writings were nothing more than mindless ramblings of useless and irrelevant information. Even though Hugo had his rare and random inspirational quotes amidst all his insufferable babbling, I sincerely believe that he was overly popularized with his so-called magical and majestic writings! There is one thing I must say though, before I get to the end of this article, I believe my ignorance might consciously shine through in this literary review. I say this because it is impossible to know the exact feelings and state of mind of the audience he represented. Therefore, although my opinion is very mild and dark about his writings, it very likely could have been the exact words of encouragement they needed at that time to get through the day..
