    Everyone is aware of it, it doesn't matter. But awareness can be developed as a skill, just as speech can be developed by learning a broader vocabulary. The more you know about different types of things to pay attention to, the more you can choose (or not) to use that information. Self-awareness is the ability to know your own emotions and recognize their influence while using your intuition to guide decisions. This includes recognizing our personality, our strong opinions and weaknesses, our likes and dislikes. Developing self-awareness can help us identify times when we are stressed or under pressure. It is also often a must-have for true communication and interpersonal relationships, as well as developing empathy for others. Self-awareness is the ability to choose the feelings felt rather than simply think the thoughts encouraged by the escalating events that lead to current situations.
