Essay / American film and television industry - 887
Hollywood, the metonym for the American film and television industry, is located west-northeast of downtown Los Angeles. Due to its fame and cultural identity as a historic center of studios and movie stars, the word "Hollywood" holds an influential place internationally. Many of Hollywood's historic theaters serve as premiere locations for major theatrical releases and host the famous Academy Awards. It is a popular destination for nightlife and tourism, and is home to the Walk of Fame. Aside from the film and television industry, Hollywood is also famous for its editing, post-production and lighting effects companies. However, the Hollywood icon changes day by day, but its position remains all over the world. Due to the moderate, dry climate and natural sunlight, film production companies from the eastern United States began to locate in California. At that time, Thomas Edision was the largest controlling force in the industry in the East, so it was a big development for cinema to start in Hollywood as it was far from the application of Thomas Edision . They could work unhindered by Edison's control. They were afraid of failure and weak in the face of the difficulties of the times. But they still hope for a better life in California and are looking for jobs that could give them a better life and make it easier to do business without the powerful Edison Company. Additionally, in the early 1910s, director DW Griffith was sent by the Biolgraph Company to the West Coast with his troupe of actors. The company decided to explore new territories and traveled in search of friendly locations popular with the film company filming there. DWGriffith then filmed the first movie ever made... middle of paper ... something as a contribution to society. The Oscars were an opportunity to congratulate those who have contributed to the industry. However, the awards have now become a commercial show on television. Hollywood has also lobbied the United States very effectively for decades to ensure that cultural exports are considered just another form of trade in international agreements and to help it gain control of distribution networks to the foreigner. From the entertainment point of view, most people would admire and wish to enter the Hollywood industry and think that they would be famous after and increase their position all over the world. If they are lucky enough to participate in one of the Hollywood films, they will receive a high salary and everyone will know them afterwards. It gives people hope and changes their lives, it is a way to establish international relations without the problem of nationality..
