Additionally, the water in Toa Payoh Park was cloudy and stagnant in some places, showing that maintenance there is low. It appears that some of the water fountains that were in the water to keep the water from stagnating were not working. Finally, there were leaves falling from the trees everywhere and in abundance. Even though it is a natural process, I think an effort should be made to clean them, or at least put them aside. Aside from all the trash and dirt, the sidewalks were mostly free of trash and the driveways were mostly free of leaves. The place overall wasn't bad with a few areas for improvement and so we gave it a +2. Then the maintenance of the place was also quite good. Most of the buildings had a nice coat of paint that was not worn and the buildings were not dirty. The sidewalks were well maintained, everything was smooth and there were no holes in the ground. The playground and fitness stations were also well maintained and all stations were functioning and in good condition. However, some parts of the place were not as well preserved. The fitness station was reserved for those over the age of thirteen, while the playground was reserved for those under the age of thirteen. It is very suitable for elderly people because they are the ones who get tired easily but still visit the park. Then there were playgrounds to entertain young children while their parents/grandparents exercised. Playgrounds were equipped with slides and swings; some seats on the swings were specialized for young children who need a "harness seat". It is extremely family friendly and the view of greenery all around is also pleasing to the eye. This creates a sense of belonging as they cater to the needs of different age groups, making them feel included. Then, a sense of place was created through iconic landmarks such as one of the last remaining dragon playgrounds at Toa Payoh. The dragon playgrounds were designed by Mr Khor Ean Ghee, who was previously a designer at HDB. The dragon playground is a distinctive feature that sets Toa Payoh apart from..
