    Specific Article Have you ever thought that shopping was a tedious chore? Have you ever spent more time in traffic on the way to the supermarket than in the store itself? Well, these problems can now be solved. With this new retail proposal plan, Publix would offer a curbside pickup and/or delivery program. Working customers will benefit from the ability to quickly pick up their orders when they get home from work rather than spending an extra hour after work walking through each aisle. Parents will be able to avoid having to do their shopping while keeping an eye on bored and rambunctious children. The command interface will be very simple and easy to follow. Customers will simply go to www.publix.com/curbside and place an order for the groceries of their choice. The customer will create an account and start shopping. There will be separate sections for different categories of merchandise, which will then be divided into different brands, to make shopping easy and efficient. Once completed, the customer will “finalize” their cart and pay by credit card, or select cash payment. If a customer chooses the cash option, they will simply need to have the cash ready to give to the curbside attendant to bring and make change at the register. There will also be the choice to select “curbside pickup” or “delivery.” If pickup is selected, the exact store and half-hour time window for pickup will need to be identified, along with a four-hour lead time for the store to prepare the order. For delivery, customers must be within a 5-mile driving radius.
