  • Essay / The Benefits of Successful Aging - 1807

    A person must start young if they want to develop the habit of good physical health. As I've said many times in my plan, the activities I do now have huge implications for how my life will look as I age. Since May 1st of this year, I have promised myself to take my health journey more seriously. While I've been working on my fitness in the gym, I'm also doing it in the kitchen. I'm learning every day what a healthy diet looks like. During this journey of ups and downs, I am learning to love my body and its capabilities. Being healthy means I glorify God and feel good. This journey is making an incredible difference in my life and I am so convinced that it is laying the foundation for the rest of my life. I plan to be as intentional with my physical health as I age. During my retirement, I will still go to the gym three times a week. Getting out of the house and being active is important. I would love to take classes at the YMCA or a local fitness center, such as yoga or Zumba. Investing in a treadmill is essential because I will want to stay active when it gets colder. Plus, having grandchildren will definitely keep me on my feet. Maybe we'll also have a dog we can walk. My desire to always stay busy and
