  • Essay / When I defended myself - 747

“Hey sheep, this is my notebook. Fill it out before you come to school tomorrow or all your stuff will disappear without a trace! This herbivore mentioned was none other than me, and the one who had just threatened me was called Chi, the tyrant. And clearly, because of this threat, I was bullied. Yes, I, the confident and courageous person that others often consider me to be, was bullied. 6th grade, new girl, it was a whole new start for me as I had just moved from another place. I tried to be cool and friendly with everyone. I did my best in the class and followed all the rules. My grades were impressive and I was popular among my teachers and friends, except for...Chi. Twice the size of the others and rude, Chi declared herself a “tyrant.” And I was his victim. She called me “sheep”. She pushed me every time she saw me. She put glue on my chair. She even put chewing gum on my 3 year old hair, forcing me to cut it. Nobody wants to protect me. All my classmates were afraid of Chi. Telling the teachers was useless because thanks to Chi's "influential" past, they turned a blind eye to his aggressive behavior. I couldn't tell my mother either because Chi's parents were her employer. It only stopped when I “granted his request”. She just threw any type of exercise at me and I had to complete it carefully. Until... Chi forced me to give him the answers to the final exam. If I got caught, my assignment would be canceled and all my hard work would be gone. His command drove me crazy. It was beyond my endurance. For a moment, I put my fear behind my back and said. "No!" "What?" – Raising her eyebrows, she asked. "From now on, I won't do any irrational thing you ask of me." – I answered. Surprised, Chi told me, “There are no second chances. So I ask you again. Are you sure of your decision...... middle of paper ...... dare to think about the consequences. I bet everything in a “fight” in which I hold 1% of the winnings. I threw the ball. One, two, three,... My heart seemed to stop beating. And... Objective!! The ball was in the basket, for real. I burst with joy... This turning point made me believe more in myself. I always try to make my very last effort until the last second, no matter how difficult it may seem. Thanks to this principle, I was able to overcome many obstacles and gain the appreciation of others. I became the confident president of a 120-member club, enthusiastic leaders of many major environmental projects in Vietnam, and a young global prospect. While holding back my happiness, I turned around and said to Chi, “I won.” And now it's time for you to follow our agreement, because you know that if I want something, I will put all my mind, heart and strength into achieving it..”
