The inability to resist the consequences of tyranny was seen in the apartheid regime which was allowed to establish itself in South Africa, "with its explicit policy promoting white supremacyā€¯ (Cooper 2002, 1). Following this settlement, non-white Africans were forced to live segregated and in poor conditions for years by the all-white government. This has once again hindered any chance of self and societal improvement for the African people. While the rest of the world was creating public transportation and health care systems, Africa was being held back, its potential for development as a state of power and influence.,
