    Gangnam Style is a K-pop single by Korean musician Psy released in July 2012. There was a quick response to the popularity of this song and dance and it immediately became viral, however, how come audience members are unable to identify the powerful stereotypes of Asian men in his music video? Stereotypes of Asian men are a major problem and Gangnam Style is a great example and representation of how established stereotypes of Asian men remain and continue so drastically in the media. Several literature reviews conducted by academics sparked my interest in the topic of this research paper.
