    IntroductionNonverbal communication refers to "all external stimuli other than spoken or written words and including body movements, features of appearance, characteristics of voice and the use of space and distance. All of these nonverbal cues taken together are also known as body language. Body language plays an important role in oral communication. Sigmund Freud's observation may seem exaggerated, but it is an exaggeration of a vital truth: "He who has eyes to see and ears to hear can convince himself that no mortal can keep a secret."
