Victor was absorbed in all the information he had learned from school and his own experiences and he did not care about offending anyone who tried to show knowledge 'affection. The monster wanted Victor to create a monster just as hideous as him because he didn't want the other creation to attract anyone else's attention because the female monster would be scary. Victor abandoned the monster and it was a selfish act because he didn't want the burden of something that was incapable of fending for itself to consume him; furthermore, the reason the monster killed Victor Frankenstein's younger brother was a selfish act of revenge. The monster only wanted revenge to satisfy his needs and get revenge on his creator Victor. The only way for both men to avoid any further conflict that might arise would be to eliminate and face the reality of their own catastrophe. Victor wanted to kill the monster because it had killed and destroyed many things he loved; however, the monster was the image of his own guilt and mind.
