Essay / Old Testament: Love in the Old and New Testament
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It's not rude, it's not selfish. He does not get angry easily and keeps no record of his wrongs. Love does not rejoice in evil but rejoices in the truth. He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Personally, I believe this is the best verse to explain God's love for us and how we should love others. Usually, love can make people angry, because someone doesn't do what you want them to do or does something they shouldn't do. The same goes for the love of God; we do things he doesn't like all the time. Most people sin every day, whether they know it or not. If people took this verse and applied it to their marriage, the world would be a better place.
