Ignorance is a characteristic that has struck many great political leaders. With this characteristic, many leaders have lost their power, due to disaster or simply because not enough people voted for them. Although many of the key characters in Julius Caesar are all sensible in their own way, the majority of them disregard the opinions of their peers, displaying an ignorance that creates their own demise caused by their own ignorance . Brutus, even when his mind has good intentions, it is also littered with ignorance. Brutus had good intentions but his ignorance did not allow him to make the best decisions. He had made many ignorant decisions because he didn't want to listen to Cassius. The first time Brutus showed this trait was when Cassius repeatedly warned Brutus of the danger posed by Mark Antony. Brutus simply thinks of the good of people, without ever wondering if he is doing an action, if the other could retaliate. He allowed himself to be deceived by Mark Antony's manipulation of words, which caused Brutus to trust Mark Antony even more. For this reason, he trusted him enough to let him speak before the Roman citizens.
