  • Essay / Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory - 1909

In today's world, organization is made up of teams to achieve the organizational goals for which a certain task has been given to them, but To accomplish these tasks, employees must be motivated to achieve the desired goal. results, on the other hand, management must develop methods from which employees can be motivated and the end result is that the objectives or targets of the organization are achieved. This essay will revolve around motivation and three theories of motivation and how managers in the organization implement these theories by examining the needs and expectations of employees. Throughout the essay, we will reference a case study of the BEST BUY seller (Michael V. Copeland, 2004). To know something about motivation we should go another way related in some way to psychology in which the intellectual writer said that "Motivation is should also be defined as the process that initiates, guides and maintains focused behaviors on a goal “motivation works in all areas of life, like if we are thirsty we can take a glass of water to quench our thirst or another example we can take a book to gain knowledge. This includes the biological, emotional, social and cognitive forces that drive behavior. “Best Buy has done an incredible job of motivating blueshirts,” says Stacey Widlitz, retail analyst at Fulcrum Global Partners. (Michael V. Copeland, 2004). Inner and outer aspects that motivate the desire and energy in an individual to be constantly interested and engaged in a job, playing one's role. Motivation results from the collaboration of conscious and unconscious factors such as (1) desire or needs (2) incentive or reward value (3) potentials of the individual and ...... environment paper......eaten like an object to be controlled. As we have a great example of reinforcement theory in BEST BUY stores, they do this by setting the target sales, an employer is rewarded with different things like bonuses or meals or discounts on sales, by achieving a target of sales free lunch meal or 73% discount on the purchase of the product in the store that an employee gets (Michael V. Copeland, 2004). Overall, we can say that BEST BUY stores have put the three motivation theories in their store, but especially the expectation theory is the one that is implemented most of the time by the BEST BUY STORE, we have seen that employees are motivated from start to finish by different ways and by weekly trainings on the other side Wall Mart does not do that and their sales are not as much as BEST BUY store in recession time also ( Michael V. Copeland, 2004).
