    Interpersonal SkillsMany have argued that how we interact with others defines who we are. Skills such as listening can help us manage confusion and prevent misunderstandings. People with assertive skills are generally known to be confident and comfortable in certain critical situations. Those with negotiation skills are ready to make or discuss an agreement or contract settlement. Additionally, in an organization, a good feedback method can help staff or a business improve. Communication skills such as persuasion allow us to convince the audience and guide them towards achieving goals. However, interviews and coaching bring out our ability to support and understand others. Listening Listening skill is defined as by the online journal titled The Skill You Need as “the ability we have to correctly receive and interpret messages in the communication process”. can lead to misunderstandings and confusion. In business, listening allows you to better respond to customers. In addition to the ability to listen, we have the ability to understand in order to effectively accomplish the task asked of us. For example, a receptionist working in a hotel must have listening skills in order to record messages and complaints from customers and also be able to relay them to hotel managers. In this situation, the lack of listening skills will result in the guest not being fully satisfied with the hotel's service, which may jeopardize the hotel's reputation.
