Today, 95% of soy used in the United States comes from Monsanto's Roundup Ready soybean, which is genetically modified. In 2007, Monsanto held 23% of the global seed market. According to USA Today (USA Today2013), most soy crops in the United States are GMO crops. At first glance, one would wonder what it is; the benefits of GMO crops appear substantial.
