    A healthy diet is what we all need to consider in our daily lives. A healthy diet prevents you from cancer, diabetes and heart disease. We can make many choices that can either be beneficial or dangerous to our health. There are many factors that can harm the body. I have chosen three to discuss. What I will talk about throughout my article will be cancer, diabetes and heart disease. I will discuss foods that would be beneficial and reduce your risk of contracting these diseases. We'll also talk about foods and other unhealthy choices that can increase your risk of these diseases. Eating healthy is what we should teach our children and implement in your home. If we teach our children to start eating healthily from a young age, it could prevent them from having to struggle with these risk factors such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. As parents, we need to instill good, healthy eating habits in our children and make sure they get daily exercise. Adding exercise to your life will also reduce your chances of becoming obese and having to worry about these risk factors. The first thing I'm going to talk about is cancer. There are certain foods you should try to avoid in order to lower your risk of cancer. According to the Mayo Clinic, they suggest eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. Along with other foods that will come from plant sources. Whole grains and beans are another good food source that you should eat. They recommend limiting our fat intake. Eat lighter and leaner by choosing fewer high-fat foods, especially those that come from animal... middle of paper ...... your eating habits and the importance of exercising can make a difference in their lives and maybe they will teach their parents the same things. Children actually influence their parents, which could make a difference at home in making better choices about the snacks they choose to eat. As parents, we should encourage our children to exercise by cycling, going for a walk or participating in a sporting activity. These days, many children stay indoors, eat unhealthy foods, and play video games. This is why obesity spirals out of control and risk factors start to come into play. Take the time to make good choices in our food choices and get the right amount of exercise we need, as this can help reduce the chances we may have of contracting any of these diseases.
