Not every day will be the same, especially since you will be working with people. At some point on your journey to becoming a social worker, you will be placed with someone who is already in the field. This will allow you to see some things first hand. It's hard work. It often happens that the person you are placed with does not have time to teach you anything. They usually don't have time to complete their own tasks, let alone hire a student. If you are placed with someone who has the time or who has hosted many students in the past, they may have learned from their past experiences and can provide additional knowledge to help you get started on the right foot. The least you could learn is how to file, organize, and those are still useful things to learn while you get used to a job that doesn't leave a lot of free time.
