How do you perceive the Internet in today's world? In Brent Staples' article titled "What Teenagers Miss When We Let Them Grow Up in Cyberspace" he talks about the negative effects and harmful effects of the Internet. In Janna Smith's article, “Online but Not Antisocial,” she outlines the positive aspects that come with this innovation. Staples and Smith realize that the Internet has had a tremendous impact on our society, although both authors view these effects differently, but their thought process is similar. Although Staples and Smith's views are opposite when it comes to internet usage. they both also identify its positive aspects. Communication being one of the main topics covered.
