You compete against your classmates to become the best supplier in the industry and keep your numbers high. You are judged on several factors that change from year to year. You operate between the ages of eleven and eighteen. It’s a very competitive industry and you have to stay one step ahead of the competition. Scores range from 50 for teams that are struggling to 80 and above for teams that are excelling. I quickly learned that you have to allow for a markup of at least forty percent between wholesale and retail prices. To be successful, you can't spend too much money on non-essential areas (more than seventy percent of your funds going to marketing, for example, would be a huge mistake).
