LilyAnne RoseteImagine waking up to the sound of the engine of a tree-cutting machine. In the distance, we can see the trunks of century-old trees falling on top of each other, one by one. What is happening? It's... It's the chaotic nature of deforestation. Deforestation is a serious global problem that must be stopped, or at least curbed, before it is too late. It refers to the destruction of natural forests for the benefit of our resources, such as logging and mining operations. Many will say that deforestation is essential for human development throughout the world, but they ignore the existence of another world on our Earth: the tribal world. It is worth taking time to resolve deforestation because it negatively affects the lives of many indigenous tribes. This destroys the animals and plants that the tribes heavily depend on for their survival. Traditions, customs and religious beliefs are suppressed. Ancient medical knowledge passed down from generation to generation is lost. Eventually, these tribes are wrongly forced to abandon their ancestral homes, and many of them are killed in the process....
