“The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost is about the speaker deciding which road to take. Both were also covered with untrodden leaves. He chose one and told himself he would take the other route another day, but the speaker knows that the opportunity to do so is very unlikely to present itself. He hoped that one day in the future he would be able to recreate the scene where he took the road less traveled. The mood of the poem; “The Road Not Taken” is a feeling of anticipation as the traveler must choose which road to take. The tone of this poem is satisfied with a bit of curiosity because although the speaker wishes he could take both roads, the speaker is happy with the one he chose. But he still wonders what difference it would make if he chose the other path. This poem consists of four stanzas of five lines.
