However, Alejandro then appeared on the scene and threatened the man who had disrespected him. He displayed his superiority over the other man in rank and power and declared that because Gabriella was now going to be his wife, no man would ever disrespect her like that again. At first glance, this may seem like a wonderful scene where the knight in shining armor comes to save his wife. However, it must be understood that if Gabriella is never disrespected in the mine again, it would not be because that is what is right and fair, or because of who she is, but simply because of who she is bound and married.
