  • Essay / The causes of the Holocaust - 1027

The Holocaust was a tragic period. Many innocent people have been killed simply because of their religion. The reason the Holocaust started was because of a terrible, soulless man. His name is Adolf Hitler. He started this because he believed that different people were the reason why the German government failed and surrendered during World War I (WWI). Before going crazy, he was an artist. He applied to a school in Italy and was rejected twice. He was actually a very good artist. He then joined the German Nazi Party. Then he and a few people tried to overthrow the government, but they failed and he was sent to prison. While in prison, he wrote a book called My Struggle. Then they released him from prison early. He becomes Chancellor of Germany. He was second in power. So he made laws that would make him a dictator. He was the big man on campus. He has gained many supporters who support his cause. He was a great spokesperson. Then he began to invade a boarder country. The country was Poland. The main reason he invaded Poland was because Poland was populated by Jews and the country was communist. Then he started creating these terrible camps to which he sent undesirables. The Undesriable were those who Hitler believed were the reason for the failure of the German government. He did these terrible camps. They sent you there either to die or to work. The people who were sent there were treated horribly and they grouped many people into small places to sleep and barely get any food. Then the Germans started to invade more countries and thus made a pact with Japan and Italy. The pact stipulated that they would stop for anything political, military or economic. These three countries both wanted to rule part of the world...... middle of paper......it was a terrible war that no one ever wants to happen again. It was really important to know the signs of a reboot, like a country changing its law, like eliminating government positions so someone has all the power. It is an astonishing thing that we are learning about the tragic events that took place in Europe. We are also learning more about the Holocaust because we don't want another world war. It would be tragic if we fought another world war that would tear the world apart. We also don't need another person to do the exact same thing as Hilter, which is to create laws that discriminate against many people simply because of their race or religion. So the main reason we learn about the Holocaust and all other tragic events is to know how all people in the world were affected in one way or another and if it happened again it would also affect all of world right now. We also want to make sure this doesn't happen again.
