School is my greatest achievement. The Link team showed me great leadership skills by allowing me to help new students and be a role model. Freshmen should look up to their upperclassman and should also have someone they know they can go and talk to if they are in trouble or just need a conversation. Restorative justice gave me dedication. I get to help other kids solve a problem they're having, I don't know anything from the start, but I stick with it and move forward with the problems to help them solve their problems, pushing my own problems and feelings. away. I need to change the mindset of two people who don't like each other so that they are civil to each other. Restorative justice is like student leadership. Student leadership requires an open mind. You need to think of many ways to help the school and improve everyone, including the teachers and yourself. In order to make everyone better, I have to be open-minded about how people learn and behave. I have to think about where people come from and why they do what they do. My goal in school is to make the most of it while helping others. Outside of school, it's a whole different world. Outside of school, I struggle with my health, being president of the Venturing team and trying to be a leader to the individuals around me. Thyroid cancer completely changed my outlook on life. This led me to want more control over my life, because when you have cancer, it's mostly up to the doctors to decide what happens. It made me want to improve my life and experience an adventure I had never done or seen before. Thyroid cancer has made me a better person. Being president of the Venturing team showed me that I need to take a stand on what is happening in my life. If I want to do something, I will do it and help others around me achieve that goal in their lives. Being president of a club or a crew also means being a leader. A leader is someone who truly gives their all and will help the people around them succeed in life as well, like a job interview. To get an interview, you must be exceptional in the application process. But getting turned down for an interview is one of the hardest parts of getting a job. I had to sit down with a complete stranger to talk about my strengths and weaknesses while my social anxiety told me I was wrong, that I had said the wrong thing. I overcame that anxiety and got a great job teaching kids to swim. Keep in mind: this is just a sample. Get a personalized article from our expert writers now.
