The Muslim BrotherhoodThe Muslim Brotherhood was a major Islamic party. It was founded by Hasan al-Banna in Egypt in 1928. Their goal was to create an Islamic nation and they used Sharia law. The ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood spread throughout the Arab world and had numerous branches in many Arab countries. Hasan al-Banna and his supporters have worked against foreign companies that exercise “British imperial rule” in their country. What they had done was include charitable contributions and focus on political, economic, and societal issues, and they were working to find solutions to improve all of those things. The Muslim Brotherhood has carried out many activities, but the social benefits for the Egyptian people is the most important activity they have carried out. One of the most crucial benefits society gained from the work of the Muslim Brotherhood was providing social security, and they wanted to make improvements. changes to address issues such as injustices among the Egyptian people. The Muslim Brotherhood demanded that the upper classes not play with the lower classes and use them at will. According to Abed-Kotob, "they would ideally lead to the creation of a harmonious Islamic society in which the upper class would not exploit the poor, the manager would not oppress the workers, and profit would be tempered by piety and good works." ". (327). It’s a great job that has benefited society and enabled the poor to live as human beings. The poor would have an optimistic vision of their future. What the Muslim Brotherhood did was aimed at increasing social justice in Egyptian society. Another important point is that the Muslim Brotherhood also began to organize the collection of Zakat, which is Islam...... middle of paper ...... so that the poor are better. Besides that, the Muslim Brotherhood wanted to reform their country, and they wanted to reform the hearts of every individual to think in a right way. They demanded a democracy with Islamic concepts.
