    On the night of December 13, 2013, Beyoncé released her fifth self-titled album on iTunes. The album surprised many people because Beyoncé did not set a date for the album and did not use any promotion; she posted a video on her Instagram asking her followers if they “were ready.” The buzz spread on social media like wildfire. Without promotion or warning, Beyoncé's album took the world by storm and allowed her audience and critics to experience the album and its contents. Many people liked the album not only for its catchy songs, but also for Beyoncé's growth and "looseer" conservativeness. On the other hand, many people saw her album not as growth, but as a way to catch up with the overly sexual generation. Beyoncé has always been aware of her sexual, pop and feminist side; this has been documented across his previous four albums. Still, many people wonder if Beyoncé is a feminist because of the content of her new album. To answer this question, a person must ask themselves: what is a feminist, why some people believe she is a feminist, why others do not believe she is a feminist, and whether or not Beyoncé thinks that She's a feminist. Before Beyoncé can be perceived as a feminist or not, a person must first ask and understand what a feminist is. Many people may have an image in their head of a feminist, a reflection of the 1968 Miss America protest; this was the second wave of feminism, in which hundreds of liberal women protested the pageant and what it stood for (Napikoski, n.d.). “The second wave was increasingly theoretical, based on a fusion of neo-Marxism and psychoanalytic theory, and began to associate the subjugation of women with broader critiques of patriarchy, capital...... middle of article... ..shi, B.
