The verbal techniques used to describe this Theme is the quote and the engraving on the last image. First, the quote says, “is carried away by the wheat.” . . the wheels, the wheels and the wheels turn.” This quote is used to show how industry and technology developed among buffalo. The phrase “is carried away by the wheat” shows how the wheat (which is willingly grown by man) is not described in any way, only showing its usefulness but no pleasure to be found in it, unlike the descriptions of nature. The following line "the wheels, the wheels and the wheels are turning" is used, as it reflects the monotonous movement of the technology that is the train, and parallels the previous beautiful and graceful movements of nature, such as the 'grass.
