The Moso society, better known as Na, is a small minority group living in the Yunnan and Sichuan provinces of China. For decades, they have implemented a matrilineal system throughout their culture. Matrilineality is defined as a system in which their descendants are traced using their maternal lines. Since the Moso society applied the matrilineal system in its culture, several implications and characteristics can be analyzed from this point of view. One of the practices consistent with matrilineality is called “walking marriage”. There is no traditional marriage in Moso culture, so in a family there is neither husband nor wife. One of the practices of the matrilineal system is the implementation of "walking marriage" in several community aspects, including family structure, reproductive preference and gender equality. In a traveling marriage practice, the partners are not related to each other. But they have their own responsibilities in terms of sustainable financing. As a result, the structure of the Moso family is extremely stable. There will be no family problems, such as divorce and child custody..
