The main reason I wanted to study law was because of how important it is in the world. Law builds civilization, protects fundamental rights, and protects ideas and inventions through patenting. Everyone can defend their rights in court. The law can bind an agreement allowing an aircraft to fly from country A to country B. The law is still relevant in many contexts, including banking, construction, sports, land, media, commerce, human rights, etc. And that excites me more, because it's very broad and, in my opinion, won't be repetitive or boring. The law is of fundamental importance to our country and shapes our evolving modern society. I felt that studying law could be both satisfying and help society in the future by helping political refugees and providing legal support to people who cannot afford it. The case of Dwaine George was sentenced to life in prison for murder. However, a team of students participating in the Innocence Project found new evidence demonstrating his innocence.
