The interior composition of Mars is shaped like that of Earth. It has a solid care, a liquid coat and a thin crust. Its core is composed of iron, nickel and sulfur. The composition of its mantle is a combination of silicon, oxygen, iron and magnesium. Its thinnest layer, only 30 miles thick, is mostly basalt volcanic rock, but the soil contains many minerals, including sodium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium.
