    Mars, our neighboring planet, is the most explored planet in our solar system, the Milky Way. We have had some interest in Mars because it may have supported life. It is also the most convenient and hospitable climate. This is why we have collected more information about the atmosphere, physical characteristics, moons and orbit of Mars than on other planets. The interior composition of Mars is shaped like that of Earth. It has a solid care, a liquid coat and a thin crust. Its core is composed of iron, nickel and sulfur. The composition of its mantle is a combination of silicon, oxygen, iron and magnesium. Its thinnest layer, only 30 miles thick, is mostly basalt volcanic rock, but the soil contains many minerals, including sodium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium. The exterior characteristics of Mar vary from region to region. The largest mountain in the solar system, Olympus Mons, is located on Mars. It is 17 miles high.
