  • Essay / Why is nanotechnology used? - 1331

Why is nanotechnology used? My group's topic is nanotechnology, and my subtopic is: why is nanotechnology used? Nanotechnology is a relatively new form of technology that uses the smallest particles to improve the objects we use every day. It is currently making progress in many areas, from the human body to sport to green energy. Our health is improving thanks to the creation of anti-cancer nanorobots and antibacterial dressings. The batteries in our phones, laptops and cars are getting smaller and smaller, while green energy is becoming more efficient. Nanotechnology is becoming cheaper and cheaper for the common person and is the future of microscopic technology to make our daily lives easier, healthier and more efficient. A.) Nanotechnology affects ordinary people through the use of antibacterial nanomaterials. Dressings may contain a greater abundance of antibacterial nanoparticles, allowing them to be more effective in wound healing. In particular, silver is used for its antibacterial properties and works well due to the increased surface area offered by nanoparticles (Dutton, 2012). In addition to the dressings, the sunscreen is enriched with aluminum oxide, which absorbs sunlight. When aluminum oxide is put into a nanosolution, it does not degrade in contact with sunlight, so the UV-blocking properties of aluminum oxide remain intact. Another use of nanotechnology that concerns us daily concerns our toothpaste. Some types of toothpaste contain calcium and silver nanoparticles. These particles help fill in cracks in your tooth enamel, which leads to the prevention of cavities. This nanotechnology will also kill bacteria...... middle of paper...... carbon dioxide emissions. Nanotechnology helps green energy become cheaper and more efficient, which helps make our air less polluted by greenhouse gases. Every day our lives are improving thanks to new advanced forms of technology, especially nanotechnology. Scientists are using nanomaterials and nanoparticles to make everything from cell phone batteries to nanorobots to improve our quality of life. Our health is improving thanks to the antibacterial properties of certain nanoparticles and small robots that can travel through our bloodstream. Our planet is also benefiting from this technology, with the increasing efficiency of batteries and green energy. Nanotechnology is changing every aspect of our lives, and its future will take us to different places and create new products we never imagined..
