With 21st century expectations and the need to be worth something, this is giving rise to an unstoppable industry. This is especially important among women, as they are primarily image-driven and keen to seek the perfect balance between trend and price. The desire to seduce in a certain way leads to counterfeiting. Savvy shoppers yearn for that moment when they can treat themselves to Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Hermès and other rare or out-of-reach products. The more the product is unobtainable, the more desirable it is. It is not surprising that many are willing to buy the counterfeit rather than the genuine one because of its resemblance and price.
