The influence of television on today's young generationTelevision has a huge influence on today's young population. With the explosion of technology and 24/7 access to television, children are inundated with enormous amounts of media on a daily basis. The complete accessibility of television shows allows children to see and learn things that are not age-appropriate, leading to immoral, inappropriate, aggressive and antisocial behavior. Television shows shape and mold young people in many ways, creating thoughts and ideas that have a huge influence on their views and actions. Very often, the opinions and attitudes broadcast on television are very detrimental to children's development. Television largely contributes to the dissemination of inappropriate content in our young society. There is no doubt that television has changed the world and the way we perceive it. With a simple point-and-click of a button on a remote control, the TV viewing possibilities are endless. There are literally hundreds of cable channels to choose from with cartoons, sitcoms, dramas, news, reality shows, and music videos filling the airwaves. Children spend hours watching television every day. Instead of eating dinner around a family table, many children eat dinner in front of the television. Television is full of programs that portray risky behavior as cool, fun and exciting. Whether the child's preference is a cartoon, an action movie, a drama series, professional sports like boxing, news, nature programs or a crime scene show, the harmful effects of television become bigger every time they watch a television show. . Since children learn visually and television is a powerful teacher, children watch their favorite character... middle of paper ... even the social aspect of youth. Television has a great influence on today's youth and it can also be the most detrimental to young developing minds. Watching television with so much violence and immoral behavior has become such an ordinary and everyday part of society that many people do not realize the enormous impact it has on all aspects of young society. The behavior seen on television affects the way children act, the values they hold and the way they perceive reality. These effects can lead to the breakdown of relationships in our society. Family relationships and respect for family relationships deteriorate. As the overall impact of television becomes a growing problem among the younger generation, we can already see a decrease in respect in our society today. Self-respect disintegrates with respect for others.
